This forum appears to be dead, but in case there might be some Koffeholics out there who still check it from time to time, I just wanted to say "Hi!" to you all. sunny I sometimes hang out on GoldenSkate and FSU, but Kristoffer doesn't seem to have many fans on either site, so I'm hoping that I'd bump into some here.

As a Canadian, I feel rather isolated when it comes to celebrating my favourite non-North American skaters because the media here primarily focus on athletes who are from Canada or the U.S. Moreover, most articles and interviews on Berntsson are in Swedish, and since I only know English and some French, the language barrier makes it harder for me to know what's going on his career.

In the spring of 2008, I started following figure skating again after a 13-year absence (my overly strict parents didn't approve of my hero worship of Kurt Browning when I was a child No). The very first thing I did was watch the performances from the 2008 Worlds to catch up on the current skaters. I eventually discovered a cute Swede with a fantastic skating style, and I've been hooked on Koffe's showmanship ever since! Cool I even started collecting Swedish stamps because of him.

My fandom intensified after I had watched him compete in Kingston, Ontario for the 2010 Skate Canada International. He only finished 11th over-all, but he was one of the highlights of the event for me! Very Happy The Canadian crowd went absolutely wild during Kristoffer's fun LP! The fangirls screamed their heads off over his fabulous gangster/MJ moves, and we squealed when he managed to save his jump landings. Koffe managed to maintain an exciting atmosphere in the arena even as he ran out of steam towards the end. The elderly man who sat next to me seemed puzzled by the (or maybe just my Wink ) enthusiastic reaction because Berntsson was neither Canadian nor a medal contender. The man asked me, "So I gather that this young gentleman is very popular with the ladies, right?" LOL!!! Oh sir, you have no idea...

Anyways, I'll stop blabbing now, and with any luck, I'll find other Koffeholics on this forum who are just as enthusiastic about his skating as I am! flower

Little bit late, but welcome!

There isn't much life in this forum, but I came to check this out after a long while because I saw Koffe skating in Swedish Nationals last weekend. The LP is really entertaining and I also heard a lot of screaming. Wink

Hi vaapukka! I'm so glad to "hear" another voice! sunny The site appears to have been deserted for a long time before I came along, but I thought at the very least I could use it as sort of archive for articles, pictures, videos, etc. of Kristoffer. If my computer crashes in the future, at least I can return to this forum and find what I'm missing. tongue

Attending the Swedish Nationals must have been very exciting for you, especially considering that there were 3 senior-level male skaters who could potentially win the title! Koffe always has a way of making the audience cheer like mad. Cool I created a poll on both FSU and GoldenSkate asking the fans who they thought would be crowned the new Swedish Champion, and most predicted that Adrian Schultheiss would take the gold. Clearly they underestimated Berntsson's ability to shine at Nationals! bounce

I can understand why they thought that Adrian would win. He has skated a little better in the international competitions during the past couple of years. But they clearly didn't know that Kristoffer has great track record in winning the National titles. Wink Schultheiss has been able to win the senior title only once and it was like 5 years ago. Based on that information I was quite sure that Kristoffer would defend his title succesfully. Very Happy And he did just that!
